The family owned and operated ‘Volga Dream’ is celebrating 10 years of cruising along Russia’s historic waterways.
Offering two glorious routes; between St Petersburg & Moscow (Or reverse) and the Lower Volga; the Volga Dream’s unique touring-style cruises are designed to introduce discerning travellers to the many faces of Russia.
Their Moscow-St. Petersburg itineraries include stays in the finest city-centre hotels – close to some of Russia’s greatest iconic sights and within easy reach of world-class restaurants and theatres.
Insightful travel experiences such as a back stage visit to the Bolshoi Theatre or visiting a private family home in St. Petersburg are also included, whilst the Lower Volga itinerary takes passengers through stunning countryside and fascinating cultural history on an exclusively ship-based sailing.
All of this, coupled with traditional Russian hospitality, limited passenger numbers and gourmet food provide the perfect recipe for an ‘un-missable’ Russian experience.

Special Guest Host
Sir Tony Brenton is a distinguished British diplomat who served as British Ambassador in Moscow 2004-2008 during the most difficult period in modern British/Russian relations. Tony is a regular commentator in the “Times” and other British publications, a Senior Advisor to Lloyds of London, Director of the Russia British Chamber of Commerce, and a Fellow of Wolfson College Cambridge where he is writing a book on Russia at the time of Peter the Great!
A new 10th anniversary brochure is also available to order, containing details of the Gold and Platinum Moscow-St Petersburg (or reverse) programmes, and Lower Volga sailings.
When the Volga Dream set sail on her maiden cruise in 2007 she welcomed on board a handful of international travel agents and critics, with few believing that the highest European cruising standards were possible in Russia.
10 years later, the Volga Dream has proven that they are.
